Dr Jart+ Hydro Shake & Shot Rubber Mask

Yes, I know I’m a lot late with the Dr Jart+ Shake & Shot Hydro Masks but guess what? I just discovered them when I visited Sephora and I just had to try it out for myself.

If you’ve been following the Makei Beauty Blog for a bit you should already know ya girl is all about healthy skin. I will try anything that will add radiance to my skin. In my opinion, skin should have a natural, healthy glow and always be the best version of you as much as possible. Notice I said healthy and not flawless. Often we equate flawless skin to healthy skin and girrrrll that is furthest from the truth. Many of the products you will find me using on myself as well as my clients are products that I know will hydrate the skin from the inside out.

Honestly, what grabbed my attention as I was cruising the isles of Sephora was the cute packaging (packaging is everything to me). I was curious about the product because of the “sip from my cup” imagery it was giving me. There were many colors that promised to do a number of different things and yes I took my time to do “eeny, meenie, miny, mo. Catch a tiger by his toe!”. I decided to start with the Hydro mask to test it out on my skin to determine if it offered the benefit of hydration.

Just so that we are on the same page this is a DIY skincare mask that requires you to stay on your toes. Seriously, if you’re not careful you can definitely create a mess all over the place. What I love about it is that it’s simple and straight to the point. It’s 1…2…Boom Shake, Shake…Voila!

To create this mask you must first remove the packets from inside the cup. You’ll notice that the straw was simply a spatula to apply the mask. How freaking resourceful, right?

Packet 1 is the Super Boost which is a liquid that transforms to cream.

Packet 2 is the Hydro Liquid Ampoule which provides an instant Hydration Boost. It has B5 and water botanical complex. This is a liquid that provides hydration for dry skin. Watch my full review below.

Overall, I loved the product it did provide instant hydration and after a few days my skin still maintained a radiant glow. I would definitely recommend these to my client for a quick DIY treatment at home. As for myself I will be returning to Sephora to be sure I have a few in stock to use when I'm ready for my next treatment.
